On 22 July, Tuesday morning, I flipped through the morning paper, enjoying my coffee. I thought to myself, " It's just another massage assignment".

I was surprised to see Grant Hackett's photo subtitled 'You Just Might Run Into Olympic Stars'.

I really couldn't believe that he was the person that I was going to massage at 10am later. I immediately shared the news with my 2 children. They were so envious of me!

I was so worried that these Olympic stars were going to be hard to work with, but I quickly realised that it was just unnecessary anxiety.

Grant Hackett, Matt Targett, Travis Nederpelt and their coach Ian Pope are actually very polite and easy going.

I enjoyed working with them as they know what they are looking for in a sports massage session like the sets of muscles to release and the pressure needed.

During my 3 sessions with them, I saw the homely side of Grant cooking steaks for Matt and Travis, while Travis helped to peel garlic; lying on the couch watching TV or surfing the net just like you and I when at home.

When we parted, Grant gave me a firm hand shake and said,' Thank you, thank you very much for the massage, we really enjoyed it. It was excellent!'

I sincerely wish them all the best for the Beijing Olympics!
