This past Sunday, 6th July, Marlene and I ran the MILK Run! We were keeping our fingers crossed for cloudy weather that day (it worked!) as our 9.4 km run started at 315pm.
This day had many firsts for me, coming in first wasn't one of them! It was the first time I had ever ran a race in the afternoon heat, first time I had to cross a road which was not closed to traffic during a race and best of all the first time I had a companion throughout the race :)
Marlene proved to be a great running partner! She carried the water, kept me at a good pace and even tried taking my photo as we were running! Marlene, thank you ;) you're great xx
This run was for a good cause, being to keep kids in school and out of crime.
Our next race..the Singapore Bay Run, we're doing the half marathon distance. Come run with us!
