I wrote earlier this year how heading a football too much may be detrimental for your child's brain cells. And how the Football Association of Singapore imposed the same guidelines for our Singaporean kids a month alter.
Perhaps adults shouldn't be heading the ball too. Here's an article from today's Straits Times suggesting that too much heading can lead to dementia when older.
Many of the English 1966 football World Cup winning team were diagnosed with dementia. Of course the balls were much heavier back then compared to now. But perhaps it's the force from heading and not just the weight of the ball.
What will happen to the beautiful game if players are not allowed to head the ball?
